Ethan my lovely grand son is nearly 9 months old and he is the light of my life, sitting in my recliner chair with him sleeping on my shoulder is just so good!
He is such a happy little boy that you cannot help but laugh with him his giggles are infectious but he is also a real little boy and is now crawling and nothing is safe! He wants to examine everything and go everywhere! He is also trying very hard to stand and I am sure it will not be long before her is walking as well then we will be in trouble!
Fortunately my daughter, Ethan’s mother, is absolutely wonderful as a mum and loves him and devotes all her available time to him, she works and Ethan started at a nursery from a very early age which I must admit I thought was wrong but it just goes to show how an old foggy can get things out of perspective! He absolutely loves it and as a result he is always happy amongst other people.
Recently we went to the wedding of my niece and it was a lovely ‘do’ with a very pretty bride and good looking husband and a lovely setting with a really enjoyable day all round. Ethan gathered so much attention from all there nearly as much as the bride and groom and took it all in his stride smiling and laughing at everyone.
As his Grand-poppa I feel I have a duty to teach him all the naughty things and blowing raspberries is just one of the many things he will learn from me but I was in trouble the morning after the wedding when we went into breakfast to find Ethan and his Mum and Dad already there and when he saw me in front of everyone his face lit up and he blew a loud raspberry, his Mum and his Granny where not amused! But what are Grand-poppa’s for I ask?
Still I like it best when I am sitting in my recliner chair and get my little man off to sleep on my shoulder then it is a matter of making sure I do not drop off as well!
